Ohio Disabled Veteran Homestead Exemption. Reduces taxable market value of the homestead by $50,000 (vs. the standard senior homestead of about $28,000). Eligibility: any veteran with a 100% total service-connected disability rating (or paid at 100% via TDIU). NO income test for the disabled veteran tier — unlike the regular senior homestead which is income-tested. Surviving spouses of qualifying first responders get an enhanced $58,000 reduction. The portion of market value above $50,000 remains taxable. File Form DTE 105I with the county auditor.
